pet gerbils

 if you want to be cheap when buying your gerbils then you could by a 30cm by 30cm cage but just make sure that you get your gerbil a running wheel. most cages will come with a running wheel.The preferred substrate for gerbils is hay and wood shavings becasue they like to burrow you should put about four inches of substrate into the cage for them to hide in.if your cage has partly barred floor in on part then dont worry if you gerbil keeps slipping his foot through he should get used to it but if he doesnt then put a thin piece of card board on the bared floor, they might start to chew it but thats alright because they natruly chew things to stop there teeth growing to big.

food and water should be provided at all times, you should only put the water in a bottle that hangs into the cage and a food bowl that is attached to the side of the cage or a very heave food bowl,due to the fact that they may tip it over and especialy with water you don't want this to happen because it way start rotting things giving a diesese to you gerbils.

 these cages are probably the best i can find on the internet. if you get  gerbils be sure to send me some pictures on there cages and and them, also keep me posted on how they are doing.
